Archbishop goes to bed with an AggieMonday 27th Sep 2010
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, revealed his current bedtime reading in an interview in The Times (25th Sept.). And guess who it is ...
"Favourite contemporary novelists include Sebastian Faulks, Ian McEwan, A.S. Byatt, Jane Gardam, Marilynne Robinson and the late Alice Thomas Ellis. His current bedtime reading is an Agatha Raisin detective novel by M.C. Beaton."
Clearly he likes a mystery and there's nothing better than settling down with a good Agatha Raisin case. He didn't reveal which of the 21 stories he is currently enjoying but if it's Quiche of Death he has a lot of reading ahead before he catches up with the rest of us!
